Dr Amira Sanki is a fully trained and qualified, female, Australian Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.
Dr Amira graduated from the University of New South Wales with Honours in Medicine and Surgery. She then undertook intensive training in General and Plastic Surgery in Sydney for ten years. Dr Sanki was awarded a Doctorate in Philosophy at the University of Sydney.
Dr Sanki is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons specialising in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (FRACS Plast). The FRACS is the only surgical qualification recognized by the Australian Medical Council. Dr Sanki is also a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and a member of the Board for the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).
Her research has helped advance the treatment of melanoma. With a strong commitment to both the practical and academic aspects of surgery, Amira regularly teaches plastic surgery trainees preparing to sit their Fellowship exam and is a mentor to many other female plastic surgery trainees.
