Dr Peter Tsakiris emigrated to Australia in 2003 with his family from South Africa after several years of Private and Public health practice. He has similarly, since 2004, been active as a specialist dental practitioner - oral and maxillofacial surgery in the private and public health sectors in Sydney. Dr Tsakiris has had extensive exposure to traumatology of the craniofacial complex, orthognathic surgery, pathology of the jaw and advanced implantology both overseas and in Sydney. He is passionate about teaching, presenting, clinical research, the latest surgical trends and advancements in treatment protocols. He has been an ATLS/EMST instructor and an invited conference speaker in Australia and overseas. Along with the private rooms in Randwick, he is an OMFS consultant to Prince of Wales Public, Sydney Children’s Hospital (Craniofacial and cleft clinics), and honorary consultant to SDH Dept. of Orthodontics (multidisciplinary orthognathic clinic). He has also held OMFS consulting positions at Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH), St Vincent’s, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and honorary lecturer of graduate students in Oral Surgery at Charles Sturt University and the Dip Grad Programme, University of Sydney.
