He graduated from the University of Sydney with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and completed his training in a number of tertiary teaching hospitals in Sydney. Following this, he completed a PhD with the University of NSW, and has published several landmark papers in the field of liver disease and liver cancer. Dr Behary works as a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist at St George Public Hospital and is also the current Co-Director of Physician Education (DPE) in the St George and Sutherland Physician Trainee Network.
