Dr Nan (Betty) Wu

MBBS (Hons) BSc (Hons 1) FRACP PhD Candidate

Dr Betty Wu graduated in 2011 from the University of New South Wales with a double degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (Honours). She completed specialist training at the St George, Sutherland and Liverpool Hospitals, and is currently undertaking a PhD. Her research interests include bowel cancer surveillance, inflammatory bowel disease and the microbiome. She is a reviewer for the top-ranking GI journal Gut, and a member of the Cancer Council Australia’s Surveillance Colonoscopy Guideline Subcommittee. She is a caring, meticulous physician who is also fluent in Mandarin.

Dr Wu is currently undertaking a PhD in microbiome research at Microbiome Research Centre, St George Hospital, Kogarah NSW.
