He has expertise in advanced interventional endoscopic techniques, including endoscopic resection of advanced polyps and mucosal resection of early malignancy.

Neil Merrett Is the Foundation Professor of Surgery, Western Sydney University Australia.. He is a Specialist Upper GI Surgeon, District Director of Surgery and Head Upper GI Surgery for South Western Sydney Local Health District. He has an extensive interest in the development of databases and protocol driven patient cares and outcomes for malignancy and the development of personalised treatment programmes for patients with Upper GI malignancies . He is a Board Member and member ANZGOSA, Member of ANZHPBA, member NSW State Surgical Taskforce; member Surgical Optimisation Working Party for NSW Cancer Institute:. Academic portfolio includes over 100 peer reviewed publications, 3500 citations, H index 23, 75 published abstracts, 80 posters and 70 presentations to scientific meetings

Dr Paven is a gastroenterologist & hepatologist with a strong interest in medical education, inflammatory bowel diseases & liver disease. He completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales (Sydney), graduating with honours in 2001 before undertaking postgraduate physician training in gastroenterology & hepatology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He has a Masters degree in medical education and is currently the Co-Director of Physician Training at St George Hospital, member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians National Examining Panel for the FRACP Specialists Exams and a Conjoint Senior Lecturer in Medicine for the University of NSW.

Dr Nan (Betty) Wu MBBS (Hons) BSc (Hons 1) FRACP PhD Candidate

Dr Betty Wu graduated in 2011 from the University of New South Wales with a double degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (Honours). She completed specialist training at the St George, Sutherland and Liverpool Hospitals, and is currently undertaking a PhD. Her research interests include bowel cancer surveillance, inflammatory bowel disease and the microbiome. She is a reviewer for the top-ranking GI journal Gut, and a member of the Cancer Council Australia’s Surveillance Colonoscopy Guideline Subcommittee. She is a caring, meticulous physician who is also fluent in Mandarin.
