Dr Jason Behary

Dr Behary is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with special interest in managing patients with chronic liver disease, as well as General Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. He graduated from the University of Sydney with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and completed his training in a number of tertiary teaching hospitals in Sydney. Following this, he completed a PhD with the University of NSW, and has published several landmark papers in the field of liver disease and liver cancer. Dr Behary works as a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist at St George Public Hospital and is also the current Co-Director of Physician Education (DPE) in the St George and Sutherland Physician Trainee Network.

Dr Betty Wu graduated in 2011 from the University of New South Wales with a double degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (Honours). She completed specialist training at the St George, Sutherland and Liverpool Hospitals, and is currently undertaking a PhD. Her research interests include bowel cancer surveillance, inflammatory bowel disease and the microbiome. She is a reviewer for the top-ranking GI journal Gut, and a member of the Cancer Council Australia’s Surveillance Colonoscopy Guideline Subcommittee. She is a caring, meticulous physician who is also fluent in Mandarin.
