Admission information & how to book

How to book

After your first appointment with your Obstetrician please complete the on-line maternity booking registration form. You will receive an automated email to confirm that your online registration has been received. You will need to present the relevant paper work from your Obstetrician to the reception desk, located on the ground floor of the hospital; you can do this any day between the hours of 8am to 8pm.

Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of your patient admission forms given to you by your Obstetrician along with completion of your online maternity booking registration form.

Once you have completed all the booking requirements, should any details change, please notify us immediately.

Private Health Insurance

St George Private has negotiated agreements with all the major health funds to ensure the relevant hospital charges are paid on your behalf. An excess or co payment may form part of your contract with your health fund.

If you are not privately insured, you will be asked to pay the estimated cost of hospitalisation prior to admission. It is therefore necessary to contact our maternity bookings officer Matbookings.sgp@ramsayhealth.com.au for an estimate of fees and charges prior to your hospital admission.

Costs for obstetric, anaesthetic and paediatric services are contracted between your self and the individual practitioner. Please discuss fees and costs with the individual specialist.

Previous Medical Treatment

If you have been receiving treatment elsewhere – especially outside Australia – please be sure to advise your specialist.
