Credentialing Process

If you are a specialist and would like to apply for accreditation at St George Private Hospital you can obtain our application form by either:

• Phoning the Executive Assistant on 9598 5421 to request it be faxed, mailed or emailed
• Email the Executive Assistant at revies@ramsayhealth.com.au

Please note we are unable to process your application without the following:

• A covering letter outlining your specific accreditation requirements
• Copy of your current NSW Medical Board Registration
• Copy of your current medical indemnity insurance showing category of cover and expiry date
• Copy of your CV
• Written references will be requested from your nominated referees

Application Review Process

• Upon receipt of your completed application and support documentation, a review will be undertaken by the Hospital CEO together with the Specialty Medical Advisory Committee Representative.
• At this point, a temporary appointment may be granted for a short period of time.
• Supported applications are then forwarded to the Medical Advisory Credentialing Committee meeting for consideration, and may or may not be recommended to the Ramsay Health Care Board for an initial appointment.
• Applicants are notified in writing whether their appointment has been ratified by the Board or declined, once the review has been fully processed.

Please note: that as the credentialing process can take some time to complete, as much notice as possible is requested should you be seeking an appointment at St George Private Hospital.
